Learn traditional carpentry and furniture-making skills in our hands-on woodworking workshops, suitable for complete beginners and aspiring makers alike. Starting from just £60, our practical courses teach you how to work with beautiful native hardwoods using professional woodworking tools and traditional techniques.

Guided by John and the team, you’ll gain confidence shaping, sanding, drilling, assembling, and finishing your own handcrafted wooden piece to take home. No previous woodworking experience is required.

Workshop Details

Courses run from April–October on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 11am–5pm.

Furniture Making Workshop – Full Day

Create handcrafted wooden furniture while learning practical furniture-making techniques.

You’ll learn shaping, sanding, drilling, assembling, gluing, levelling, oiling, and finishing using tools including jigsaws, sanders, grinders, drills, and hand tools.

Oak Swing Workshop – 2 Hours

Make your own handcrafted oak swing. £90

Includes shaping, sanding, drilling rope holes, oiling, rope fitting, and assembly.

Chopping Board Workshop – 1.5 Hours

Create a handcrafted wooden chopping board up to 40cm long. £60

Learn shaping, sanding, finishing, and oiling techniques using traditional woodworking methods.
