Oak Swing Course - 2 Hours

On this course, the student will be making a one or two rope swing from oak. We will teach you all about how and where we get materials. Students will be able to make their own item to take home with them.
What the course includes
- A choice of wood
- Shaping the swing
- Drilling the holes for the rope
- Sanding, finishing, and oiling the finished swing
- Fitting the rope
- The tools used will include the jigsaw, the grinder, the sander, and the drill
What you will learn
All of our courses offer an opportunity to learn from John and the team about our native hardwoods, how these can be crafted into useful items, and the safe use of the tools used to do so. You don’t need any previous carpentry experience.
Courses can be arranged at your convenience and are run on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11am - 5pm, April - November.
