Chopping Board Course - 1.5 Hours

On this course, the student will be making a chopping board. We will teach you all about how and where we get materials. Students will be able to make their own item to take home with them. 

What the course includes

 

  • A choice of wood 
  • Shaping the chopping board 
  • Sanding, finishing, and oiling the finished board 
  • The tools used will include the jigsaw, the grinder and the sander 

Dimensions: Up to 40cm long, if you would like to create something bigger then please get in touch here.

What you will learn

All of our courses offer an opportunity to learn from John and the team about our native hardwoods, how these can be crafted into useful items, and the safe use of the tools used to do so. You don’t need any previous carpentry experience. 

Courses can be arranged at your convenience and are run on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday between the hours of 11am - 5pm, April - November.
